VIRTUAL REALITY

EXPLORING GLITCHES WITHIN VIRTUAL REALITY

———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

PROJECT / THEME

This project explores how merging multiple digital design tools can be used as a method for sketching. The tools that have been used for this project are CLO 3D, Google Tilt Brush and Adobe Arrow.

The theme of this project is “Glitches”. The aim was to incorporate shapes, details and real - as well as hypothetical - glitches that could occur within the different digital programs.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

METHOD

  1. Creating shapes in Tilt Brush and bringing them into CLO.

  2. Merging the objects and creating/simulating glitches in CLO.

  3. Adding color and pattern to the objects.

  4. Bringing the file into Adobe Arrow to create a QR code that allows one to view the creation as a “hologram simulation” through the camera on your phone.
