THE PROJECT

For this project a brief was provided by the outdoor brand Peak Performance. The instruction was to create an alternative creation or concept based on features of a puffer jacket.

Criteria: Incorporate elements of volume, sustainability, lightweight and a quilting technique.

FEATURES OF THE JACKET

The jacket is constructed by draping quilted squares; each square has a rounded drawstring pocket. The fillable pockets/bubbles give the wearer the ability to adjust shape and volume.

To incorporate sustainability within this project I decided to use waste yarn as filling for my quilt, and aslo to fill up the pockets.
